14 Days of Love Gone Wrong - Day 5: Calendar Girl Murders
Don’t let this sentence fool you, “When the two meet, sparks start to fly as they are engulfed in a whirlpool of passion and animal lust!” I would have loved to have been in the room when they decided Tom Skerritt was capable of creating sparks. Don’t get me wrong, I love Tom Skerritt. But he’s got the animal magnetism of a pile of laundry. Sharon Stone does her best but there is barely anything believable between them.
In fact, the whole movie suffers from being boring and uptight. The premise is sexy nude models keep getting murdered and Tom Skerritt needs to find the killer. But there’s never anything close to nudity and all the killings look like a handshake. What kind of made for tv movie is this?! I want blood and boobs and gore? It’s clearly one of those Sunday afternoon films but then why make it?
It’s a shame because this is one of my favorite times for made for tv movies. Awesome synth soundtracks, weird extended party scenes, gratuitous sex and violence. But this one just fell short.
